Future Planning

Since long our Udaya Health & Welfare Society have been nurturing an ambitious plans for extending the area of operations for fulfillment of our social objectives centering round providing health care related services for the underprivileged people in the underdeveloped rural areas in society.
In our bid for attaining the goal, we felt the necessity for sufficient funds beyond the meager indigenous collections and looked forward to attract home & foreign contributions as well for which we have already put our efforts with the respective authority for the FCRA certifications from Govt. Of India.
Nonetheless, to mention that, apart from our present concern for the Senior Citizens in the locality as well as in the neighborhood, we are in the meantime, looking forward to the standard old age homes for keeping them in peace of mind, healthy & worriless life.
We have also drafted a plan to impart free training on knitting; tailoring etc. for hapless widows and destitute women through agencies engaged in such schemes for job aspiring trainees.
Also along with 24*7 Ambulance services support , efforts are being made to equip this basic Ambulance with ventilator which can support the patients those are critically ill, on ventilation support for the patients who are on multiple life support systems, to shift the patients from one hospital to another with our Ambulance with ventilator service.
Nevertheless to mention again that, we have a dream project of equipping Ambulance with ICU facilities where lifesaving machines like ventilator, cardiac monitors, suction machine, infusion pumps etc. together with all emergency lifesaving medications, in short, providing an environment of intensive care unit (ICU) of any hospital ,where provisions will be there for expert doctors and experienced Para-medical staff who can provide symptomatic treatment and expert medical care while on the way during transportation of critically ill patients to hospitals in our ambulance services with ICU facilities.

Current Projects

Finally, “Udaya Araksha Swastha Kendra” got registered under West Bengal Societies Registration Act in the year 2007, 7TH December under the name of “Udaya Health & Welfare Society”. Initially, aim of the health center was to provide primary health care services with treatment of minor ailments by our registered doctors for free or at a low cost and to refer to the diagnostic centers and specialists if necessary at a low cost. We have, in the meantime, got the approval for Tax Exemptions for donors U/S 80G (5) (VI) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 with a view to attract the Prospective Donors and Order of U/S 12AA of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Specialist Doctors are also attached to us in various disciplines. In the meantime, free checkup camps have been held as per below:
Malaria Awareness camp, under the auspices of Govt. of India, Dept. of Health and Family Welfare.
Health checkup camp with help of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratory, twice.
Pulmonary Function Test camp with active participation of Cipla Pharmaceuticals, Temples Clinical Diagnostic Center.
Vascular Profiler Test camp with direct involvement of Nicholas Piramal Ltd, twice Eye Checkup camp with Rotary Club, Newtown.
Apart from the above, we organized indoor free health awareness camps from time to time sponsored by reputed Hospitals and Pharmaceutical houses. Health Camps were held at outdoors at nearby localities as well as in the distant areas and remote places in Sundarbans area among people in middle and low income group and BPL groups with free medical checkups & medicines.
Besides the forgoing, our in house healthcare activities include testing of Blood Sugar (Glucometer); Digital ECG; Portable Digital Oximeter, for measuring the oxygen level in blood and heart rate.
Apart from the above, as in the previous years, this year also we are in close contact with “Sahamarmi Society” a registered Society, with whom we are working in tandem in a coordinated way and we look forward to more of the welfare activities in the rural areas in association with them.
Along with supply & support of Oxygen Cylinders ( presently 36nos. & expected to reach 50 nos. shortly) with 24*7 services ; Support & services of Nebulizers and The Basic Ambulance Services with oxygen, foldable wheelchair, fold able stretcher, emergency lights, sirens, first aid kit, etc. Now Ambulances are designed with good suspension system and because of that patient experiences minimum jerks which is also for 24*7 support with comparatively low tariff for the benefit of serious patients irrespective of class, caste and religion.
We have concerns for the hapless senior citizens in the neighborhood who are left to fend for themselves. For medical care, for whom we always stand by their side proactively by arranging medical aids; Oxygen Cylinder and Ambulance services at a very moderate rates and arrange for hospitalization , if necessary as well.
